Motivation: Loss of a child & the sympathetic response I got when I use the phrase "lost a child," as opposed to the zero-sympathy response when I used the word abortion. The idea is that regardless of how a child goes away, it is a loss. The paintings are about that, & are also a very long letter to the child I did not have, & to the child I hope to have some day.

Cool things about me: I have spent most of my life living in communes, one in SW Missouri, & I lived with the Amish, & I have a pretty great fake-tap dancing routine. (But you don't have to mention that part...)
